British FTSE 100 rises 1.70 pct on Friday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, rose by 1.70 percent, or 102.97 points, to 6,156.32 points on Friday.

The share price of Coca-Cola HBC spiked by 6.22 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Whitbread, Shire, Barratt Developments and Taylor Wimpey shot up by 4.88 percent, 4.11 percent, 3.94 percent and 3.84 percent respectively.

There were only three losers among the blue chips, Johnson Matthey (0.69 precent), Admiral Group (0.27 percent) and Randgold Resources (0.08 percent) on trading day. Endit
