Volkswagen recalls 486 vehicles in China

Xinhua, May 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Volkswagen China started to recall 486 vehicles due to sunroof design defects on Friday, according to China's quality watchdog.

The recall involves imported Magotan produced between Oct. 14, 2015 and Feb. 9, 2016, according to a statement from China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

Due to design defects, the sunroof of these vehicles may not function properly and pose safety risks, according to the statement.

The carmaker will fix the module for free to eliminate the risks. Endit
