37 people injured in bus collision in Sri Lanka

About 37 people were injured when two passenger buses collided head-on on the Avissawella, Kegalle main road on the outskirts of the capital on Thursday, the police said.

The injured were rushed to nearby state hospitals by residents and police.

The area faced a severe flood just days ago as a result of strong winds and heavy rainfall.

Police are conducting investigations. Endit
