NBA to launch Playzone in Shanghai

NBA China will launch a basketball-themed family entertainment center in Shanghai, China, this summer.

According to a statement reaching to Xinhua on Wednesday, the 1,500-square-meter destination will be located in the Hubin Dao Shopping Mall at Xin Tian Di, Shanghai.

NBA mascots Clutch of the Houston Rockets and Benny the Bull of the Chicago Bulls will make regular appearances at NBA Playzone, which brings fans variety of basketball-inspired play areas and activities.

Other activities include Rookie Challenge, where young fans will jump, climb, crawl and dunk through a variety of obstacles, In the Paint, an arts and crafts area to create custom NBA-themed artwork, and etc..

"NBA Playzone marks another key milestone in NBA China's efforts to connect with our young fans and their families," NBA China CEO David Shoemaker said through the statement. "We are excited for them to learn, interact and play in a healthy environment." Endit
