Wolfsburg agree on permanent move of Guilavogui

Midfielder Joshua Guilavogui will stay with the "Wolves" until 2019, the Bundesliga side announced on Tuesday.

Wolfsburg made use of their buyer' s option to agree on a permanent transfer of Atletico Madrid loanee Joshua Guilavogui, who penned a contract until June 2019.

"We are pleased that we were able to sign Joshua permanently," Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs said. "He showed that he fits perfectly to Wolfsburg in the last two years. It was always clear for us that we want to sign him for a long term as his development is not finished yet."

The 25-year-old Frenchman joined the "Wolves" in August 2014 to score three goals in 57 Bundesliga appearances. Guilavogui is since 2013 part of "Les Bleus" , the France national team, where he made seven caps ever since.

"I am very happy that I continue playing in Wolfsburg and to remain part of this great club," Guilavogui said. "I want to contribute to establish Wolfsburg in the top of the Bundesliga and in the Champions League regularly."

Wolfsburg completed the Bundesliga season the eight place and will have to focus on domestic matters next season. Endit
