Captain America continues to lead Chinese box office

Disney's "Captain America: Civil War" continued its domination of the Chinese film market in the week ending May 15, earning 389 million yuan (59.7 million U.S. dollars), China Film News reported on Tuesday.

The superhero blockbuster raked in more than one billion yuan in the 10 days after its release on May 6.

"Finding Mr. Right 2," a domestic romance which debuted on April 29, stood in second place with 84 million yuan in sales in the week.

American action movie "Criminal" grossed 51.7 million yuan to land in third place after its release on May 13.

Hollywood science fiction thriller "Self/less" opened in fourth place with 26.5 million yuan. The movie was released on May 12.

Rounding out the top five was domestic literary adaptation "Song of the Phoenix," which took in 24.8 million yuan in the week. Endi
