International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities elects new president

The International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA) on Thursday elected Dr. Ali Fetais Al-Marri, attorney general of Qatar, to be its new president.

The election was conducted at the organization's ninth annual conference that has closed in northern Chinese city of Tianjin.

Qiu Xueqiang, deputy procurator-general of China, was elected vice president, along with an executive committee.

Members adopted a declaration on cooperation among anti-graft agencies.

Dr. Al-Marri replaces China's Procurator-General Cao Jianming.

About 270 senior officials and experts with anti-graft agencies and international organizations attended the conference. Endi
