Singapore's Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat suffers a stroke

Singapore's Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat suffered a stroke during a Cabinet meeting, said the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Thursday.

PMO said in a statement that the minister collapsed during a Cabinet meeting on Thursday around 5:34 p.m., and he was taken to hospital immediately. A CT scan showed he had a stroke.

Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong wrote on his Facebook that the Cabinet were having a weekly meeting when Minister Heng suddenly collapsed, and doctors were attending to him.

"Hope Swee Keat will be alright, he is a valuable member of my team," Lee added. Endit
