Education ministry stresses exam security
Xinhua, May 11, 2016 Adjust font size:
Chinese authorities have called for strict regulation around the national college entrance exams due to take place early next month to ensure their fairness.
In a recent teleconference with other concerned agencies, the Ministry of Education demanded tight security for the printing, transportation, storage, handing out and collection of exam papers to guard against leaks.
Vice minister of education Lin Huiqing called for action against cheating, including cheating with high-tech tools and sitting the exam for someone else.
"Agencies, colleges and universities should work together to protect the justice of the exam, crack down on cheating and forgery of qualifications, and strengthen investigation into and punishment over violations of regulations," said Wang Liying from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China.
Representatives from the ministries of public security, industry and information technology, and the National Administration for the Protection of State Secrets also attended the conference. Endi
