CAS cuts Platini's ban from soccer to 4 years

The Court of Arbitration for Sport on Monday reduced suspended UEFA President Michel Platini's ban from six years to four years.

"The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rendered its decision in the arbitration procedure between Michel Platini and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The suspension of Mr. Platini has been lowered from 6 to 4 years," the CAS said in a statement.

In December 2015, Platini was banned from football-related activities over corruption allegations. Endit
