One of the world's best-selling touring magic show returned to Singapore on Friday as part of its new worldwide tour with mind-blowing illusions and spectacular magic at the MasterCard theater at Marina Bay Sands.
The Illusionists - Live from Broadway is produced by Simon Painter and Tim Lawson. There are eight stars, each a master in their own field in the Singapore version, with Luis De Matos, Portuguese magician renowned for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in stage illusion, leading the cast.
The show set a box office record when it made its Broadway debut, and now returns with all-new mind-blowing magic, death-defying stunts and acts of breath-taking wonder to the lion city.
"We can't wait to bring this electrifying show to Singapore for a truly entertaining experience for the whole family. The illusionists are the most non-stop and powerful mix of outrageous and astonishing acts ever to be seen on the live stage," producer Painter said ahead of the show.
The highly-interactive show thrilled Singapore audiences with jaw-dropping talents of the illusionists. It is not a one-man show of the professionals, but full of interaction with the crowd.
At the beginning, audiences were invited to play with European innovative young celebrities of mentalist Thommy Ten and Amelie van Tass, who can read the audiences' thoughts, and even accurately guessed their birthday, which makes the participants gasp in astonishment.
And for every ticket holder, four postcards were given to them in a sealed envelope to play along with Luis De Matos, who entertained all those present with his accurately calculated card skills, triggering rounds of applause and wows from the crowd. Endit
