Communist Party of China congratulates DPRK ruling party on opening of Congress

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has congratulated the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the ruling party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), on the opening of its seventh Congress in Pyongyang on Friday.
The seventh WPK Congress is a big event in the political life of the party and the DPRK people and will have a huge impact on the party and the development of the DPRK's cause of socialism, the CPC Central Committee said in a congratulatory message.
The CPC wishes that the DPRK people, under the leadership of the WPK, will keep achieving new accomplishments in the cause of building socialism, said the message.
The China-DPRK friendship was personally forged and carefully fostered by the two countries' leaderships of the older generation, said the message, adding the bilateral friendship has a glorious historical tradition and is a common treasure of both sides.
The CPC and the Chinese government attach great importance to the ties between China and the DPRK and stand ready to make joint efforts with the DPRK side to well maintain, well consolidate and well develop the China-DPRK relations in the interest of the two countries and the two peoples, and to make positive contribution to safeguarding peace, stability and development of the region and the world.
The CPC hopes that the seventh WPK Congress will be a complete success and the China-DPRK friendship will pass from generation to generation, it added.
The WPK convened its seventh Congress on Friday, the party's first congress in 36 years and the first under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. Endi
