The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Friday.

-- Ethiopia on Thursday celebrated the 75th Patriots Victory Day. The day marks the end of Italian occupation in 1941. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)

-- A contract agreement has been signed between the Industrial Parks Development Corporation and two Chinese companies enabling the latter to handle the construction of the Kombolcha and Mekelle industrial parks.

China Communications Construction Company and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, the two Chinese companies that won the contract, are expected to finalize the 250 million-U.S. dollar project within six months. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)
