Morocco, Japan vow to foster cooperation

Morocco's head of government Abdelilah Benkirane and visiting Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Yoji Muto on Thursday said the two countries are determined to foster bilateral cooperation.

The two parties discussed means to share expertise on administration reform, reinforce training programs and promote tourism, said a statement by the head of government's office.

The meeting also involved a number of issues of shared interest, in order to highlight the friendly relations between Morocco and Japan, the statement added.

In a press statement following the talks, Muto described bilateral ties as "exceptional," and are built on "credibility and mutual cooperation."

He underlined that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Japan.

Muto is currently visiting Morocco to participate in the 4th Japan-Arab Economic Forum. Endit
