Suspects detained in Russia for alleged terror plots

Xinhua, May 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Russian authorities have detained a group of people who allegedly attempted to carry out terrorist attacks in the country, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said Wednesday.

The suspects, who were from Central Asia, allegedly plotted to carry out a series of terrorist attacks during the May holiday celebrations in the Moscow region, the FSB said.

The suspects acted upon the orders of terrorist leaders in Syria and Turkey, it added.
