Albania passes measures to support agriculture

Xinhua, May 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

Albanian Finance Minister Arben Ahmetaj on Monday presented measures to support the agricultural and livestock sector.

The Albanian government designed a support package, whose main goal is facilitating the work of farmers, producers and collectors in the agricultural sector.

"I want to reiterate that the reimbursement scheme to farmers has increased from 6 percent to 20 percent, which provides a direct stimulus to Albanian farmers to expand their agricultural and livestock production activity," Ahmetaj said.

He said the new package will allow Albanian farmers to make small payments in cash and automatically request computer generated receipts for their purchases, among other benefits. Enditem
