Urgent: Start date for next round of Syrian peace talks to be announced next month: UN Envoy

UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said early Thursday morning that the start date for the next round of intra-Syrian peace talks will be announced in May, with one or two more rounds of negotiations scheduled to take place before July.

"My plan is to relaunch the next round talks during the course of May," he explained after briefing the UN Security Council in New York via videoconference. Endit
