Spanish stock market falls 1.01 pct, closes at 9,140 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex 35 fell 1.01 percent on Monday to close at 9,140 points, down from the 9,232.80 points of Friday.

On Monday session, ArcelorMittal shares led falls losing 4.94 percent, followed by Mapfre, OHL, Sacyr, Banco Sabadell and Bankia that lost 4.03 percent, 3.71 percent, 3.54 percent, 3.22 percent and 3.01 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Merlin shares led rises climbing 1.24 percent, followed by Ferrovial, AENA, IAG, Abertis A and Mediaset that rose 1.11 percent, 1.09 percent, 0.93 percent, 0.60 percent and 0.45 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 137.40 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.6 percent, both showing no differences when compared with Friday. Enditem
