The following are highlights of South African major media outlets on Sunday.

-- The South African Communist Party (SACP) and trade union federation Cosatu have called for the ANC to elect councillors who are supported by their communities for the local government elections in August.

The tripartite alliance partners made the call during a march in Durban on Saturday to demand the implementation of the National Health Insurance and the transformation of the financial sector. (Business Day).
