The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Sunday.

-- Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has signed the historic Paris climate deal at UN Headquarters.

As 175 world leaders signed the Paris Agreement at United Nations Headquarters Saturday, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said the next critical step is to ensure that the landmark accord for global action on climate change enters into force as soon as possible. -- Some 10 Ethiopian aid workers were killed in an attack carried out by refugees sheltered in Jawi refugee camp after a car owned by Safe the Children killed two children in the camp last Thursday.

In a press conference he gave Saturday, Chief Administrator of Gambella regional state, Gatluak Tut, expressed his deepest sorrow over the killing of innocent Ethiopians who have no link with the car accident.

About 30 people suspected of carrying out the attack were arrested and investigation is underway, he said.

Gatluak said the regional government, in partnership with the federal police and defense force, is working to normalize the instability created following the recent attack carried out by South Sudan's Murle tribe. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- The Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) has said it is working to supply adequate power to meet the ever growing power needs of the nation.

EEP Foreign Public Relations Director, Misiker Negash said efforts are underway to upgrade the capacity of existing sub-stations and transmission lines.
