Trade, Pacific, terrorism to dominate French PM's talks in New Zealand

Xinhua, April 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

Trade and Pacific issues and terrorism will be top of the agenda when French Prime Minister Manual Valls visits New Zealand next month, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key said Friday.

"This is the first time in 25 years that a French prime minister has visited New Zealand," Key said in a statement.

"We have a close and long-standing relationship with France and I am looking forward to discussing a number of issues with Prime Minister Valls, including trade, our mutual interest in the Pacific and the international response to terrorism."

Valls will arrive in Auckland on May 1 and depart the following day. Endit
