Albanian to contract new National Arena

Albanian Football Federation (AFF) presented on Thursday the project on the construction of National Arena stadium which will be placed at the same place where the existing national stadium "Qemal Stafa" is situated.

Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, in his speech at the ceremony, stated that Albania will have a stadium up to European standards, a fitting stadium which will host not only the national team but also the finals of Europe's Super Cup or Europe League.

"Today we have the right team, involving the government, the football federation, architect and a renowned Albanian company, which will build a fitting stadium to host not only the national matches but also the finals of Europe's Super Cup," added Rama.

AFF President Armando Duka said, "This is a successful cooperation with the government and the Prime Minister has contributed maximally for accelerating the project and removing obstacles."
