The Supreme People's Court (SPC) named and shamed nine local court officials who violated thrift and integrity rules on Thursday.
Violations in the exposed cases included use of public funds for banquets and travels, misuse of public vehicles, participation in luxury entertainment, and accepting cash through holding extravagant wedding.
Those on the list have all been punished with their punishments ranging from warnings to dismissal.
In one case, Zhang Haili, deputy chief of Shaoguan Intermediate People's Court in Guangdong Province, was punished for being invited to playing golf by local businessmen.
In another case, Guo Dongsheng, an official with Jurong People's Court in Jiangsu Province, was given a Party warning for accepting 7,000 yuan (1,080 U.S. dollars) from seven lawyers at his wedding reception.
An eight-point rule was introduced by the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee at the end of 2012, to address bureaucracy, formalism and extravagance. Endi
