Heavy rains to hit south China

Another round of rainstorms will hit south China over the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said on Thursday.

The country's weather observatory forecast that rainstorms and torrential rain will sweep areas south of the Yangtze River, parts of south China and southern Guizhou Province from Thursday night to Sunday.

Precipitation could reach up to 130 mm. Lightning, strong winds and hail will accompany the rain.

The NMC also said that heavy rain will remain in parts of Tibet, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangdong and Fujian on Thursday, with some areas receiving up to 70 mm of precipitation. Endi
