Germany's benchmark DAX index closes up

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday went up and closed at 10,120.31 points.

The talks in Doha by oil producers failed to reach an agreement on production limitation, the blue-chip DAX index slipped in the morning but recovered in the afternoon. It gained 68.74 points, or 0.68 percent.

BMW rose by 2.6 percent. Commerzbank added 2.43 percent. Adidas climbed by 2.06 percent. Deutsche Bank advanced by 1.79 percent and Daimler went up by 1 percent.

On the other hand, Deutsche Lufthansa slipped by 1.83 percent. The utilities company RWE dropped by 1.32 percent. Infineon Technologies, a semiconductor company, fell by 1.12 percent. Deutsche Boerse lost 0.43 percent and Vonovia, a real estate company went down by 0.23 percent.

Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 247.66 million euros (279.32 million U.S. dollars). Endit
