Value of tradable shares up 3.27 pct

The value of tradable shares on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets increased to 37 trillion yuan (5.7 trillion U.S. dollars) at Friday's close, up 3.27 percent from a week earlier, data showed.

Total market capitalization of the two stock markets hit 46.83 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.31 percent week on week, according to data from Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges.

The average stock price on the two markets rose 3.16 percent from one week earlier to 10.7 yuan.

The Shanghai stock market has 1,092 listed firms, while 1,762 companies got listed on the Shenzhen stock market.

The benchmark Shanghai composite index rose 3.12 percent from one week earlier to end at 3,078.12. The Shenzhen composite index jumped 3.07 percent from a week earlier to close at 10,733.64. Endi
