"Wet market" on commute trains in NW China

Xinhua, April 17, 2016 Adjust font size:

Trains in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will offer commuters the opportunity to buy fruit and vegetables during off hours, according to local railway authorities.

About 100,000 industrial workers take one of 36 trains that run between the regional capital city of Yinchuan and Ningdong energy and chemical base every day. The journey takes less than an hour.

The city's railway administrator has cooperated with local markets to sell vegetables and groceries on the trains.

In addition, breakfast is served on morning trains, a crew member said. Endi
