Spanish stock market index falls 0.12 pct, closes at 8,850 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 0.12 percent on Friday to close at 8,850.90 points, down from the 8,861.50 points of Thursday.

Share values were up 5 percent in the week as a whole with the Spanish risk premium falling to 137.40 points on Friday from the 143.1 points of a week ago, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate showing no big differences when compared with a week ago and closing at 1.5 percent.

Mapfre shares led rises climbing 1.55 percent, followed by Tecnicas Reunidas, Banco Popular, DIA, Telefonica and Bankia that rose 1.43 percent, 1.20 percent, 1.16 percent, 0.69 percent and 0.59 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Indra A shares led falls losing 2.34 percent, followed by IAG, Acciona, Gas Natural, Gamesa and Grifols that lost 1.71 percent, 1.71 percent, 1.22 percent, 0.98 percent and 0.85 percent respectively. Endit
