Germany's benchmark DAX index continues to rise

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Thursday continued to rise and closed at 10,093.65 points.

After a substantial increase on Wednesday, the DAX index continued to rise due to positive employment data from the United States, according to local analysts. It gained 67.55 points, or 0.67 percent.

BASF rose by 1.87 percent. BMW advanced by 1.54 percent. Fresenius, a diversified health care group, climbed by 1.24 percent. Beiersdorf, a skin care company, added 1.22 percent.

Vonovia, a real estate company, slipped by 1.53 percent. Thyssenkrupp fell by 0.68 percent. Infineon Technologies, a semiconductor company, plunged by 0.47 percent. Continental lost 0.08 percent.

BASF was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 290.71 million euros (around 329.41 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
