China have been drawn against Brazil, Sweden and South Africa in Group E of this year's Rio 2016 women's Olympic football tournament.
China will begin their campaign against host nation Brazil at the Estadio Olimpico in Rio de Janeiro on August 3.
Both the men's and women's groups and match schedules were announced during a draw on Thursday at Rio's Maracana stadium.
In the men's competition, Brazil were drawn alongside South Africa, Iraq and Denmark in Group A.
Defending champions Mexico face a seemingly tougher road to the knockout phase, having been drawn in the same group as Germany, South Korea and Fiji.
Brazil, who are expected to be captained by Barcelona star Neymar, will begin their quest for the country's first Olympic football gold medal against South Africa at Brasilia's Mane Garrincha stadium on August 4.
"Just under two years ago, Brazil hosted a magical edition of the FIFA World Cup, and it will be glorious to see these cities again at the centre of the football world this August," said Lydia Nsekera, deputy chairperson of the organizing committee for Olympic football.
"That is why I would like to express my gratitude to the host cities for bringing to life the legacy of that World Cup. There is no place for football like Brazil, and I can't wait to see these six cities setting up a dream stage once again for football fans from across the globe."
The Olympic football tournaments will comprise 58 matches - 32 for the men and 26 for the women - in six cities: Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Manaus, Salvador and Sao Paulo.
Both finals will be played at the Maracana, with the women's gold medal match scheduled for August 19 and the men's decider a day later.
