Colombia's Atletico Nacional continue Libertadores winning run

Atletico Nacional moved eight points clear at the top of their Copa Libertadores group and confirmed their billing as one of the tournament favorites with a 1-0 victory at Sporting Cristal on Tuesday.

Victor Ibarbo gave Atletico the lead in the 13th minute at Lima's Estadio Nacional and the Colombian outfit defended resolutely thereafter to extend their record to five wins from as many matches.

Peru's Sporting remained third in Group 4, three points behind Argentine side Huracan, who drew 0-0 with Penarol.

In other matches on Tuesday, Venezuela's Trujillanos beat The Strongest of Bolivia 2-1, and Mexico's Toluca accounted for Argentine side San Lorenzo 2-1.

The Copa Libertadores is Latin America's most prestigious club competition, comprising the best teams from South America and Mexico. Endit
