The train dispatcher was playing an online game on his mobile phone shortly before the deadly German train collision, killing 11 and injuring about 80 people in southern Germany in February, German prosecutors announced Tuesday.
According to prosecutors, the dispatcher had turned on his cell phone during his service, launched an online computer game and played over a longer period until the accident happened in Bad Aibling.
It could be assumed that the accused, whose name is not revealed, was distracted from the control of the crossing traffic of trains, local media Bavarian Radio cited prosecutor source.
The 39-year-old dispatcher has already admitted that he was playing a game on his phone at the time of the collision, according to media report.
At the moment, the court in the southern German city of Rosenheim has decreed an arrest warrant for the accused. Endit
