Four killed in Ugandan capital building collapse: police

Xinhua, April 13, 2016 Adjust font size:

Four people are confirmed dead from Monday's building collapse in Ugandan capital Kampala, while dozens are still missing, a police spokesperson said Tuesday.

Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, told Xinhua that another body was retrieved on Monday night after the incomplete five-storey Kyasekka Towers in the central business area collapsed.

"We are still continuing with the rescue operations. The operations might take us three to four days," he said, noting that some people are still trapped in the ruble.

The police has started investigations to establish the cause of the collapse. Enditem
