Iran's Rouhani to visit Turkey for OIC summit

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will travel to Istanbul of Turkey this week to attend an Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit, Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi said on Monday.

Rouhani is also scheduled to meet economic activists from both sides to discuss bilateral economic issues, Vaezi, also the head of Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, was quoted as saying by official IRNA news agency.

On Sunday, Iran and Turkey signed three trade and banking agreements as part of efforts to boost economic relations between the two neighboring countries, Tasnim news agency reported.

The three documents were signed by the two countries' officials at the end of the 25th session of Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Cooperation Commission. Endit
