Five people were killed and seven others injured when a car loaded with explosives exploded near the office of Mogadishu mayor on Monday, Somali officials said.

Local government spokesman Abdi fitah Halan told reporters at the scene that the car exploded in Mogadishu has caused the death of at least five people.

"The car drove to the entrance, hitting the wall behind the mayor's office before exploding. We have established the death of five civilians and seven others were injured," said Halan. Endit
