A dozen militants were killed as aircraft pounded Taliban hideouts in Dasht-e-Archi district of the northern Kunduz province early Monday, spokesman for security forces in the province Masoud Akbari said.

"The air raid conducted early today in parts of Dasht-e-Archi district leaving 12 rebels dead," Akbari told Xinhua.
