China's cabinet appoints high-ranking officials

The State Council, China's cabinet, announced a reshuffle of senior officials on Monday.

Li Changping was named vice director of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.

Zhao Yingmin was appointed vice minister of environmental protection, while Pan Yue was relieved of the post.

Dai Dongchang was named vice minister of transport, replacing Wang Changshun.

Liu Weiping and Xiang Libin were appointed vice presidents of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, while Zhan Wenlong was relieved of the post.

The State Council also appointed Wang Jingqing vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Endi
