Former Henan official prosecuted for graft

Xinhua, April 11, 2016 Adjust font size:

Qin Yuhai, former deputy director of the Henan Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, has been prosecuted for alleged bribe-taking, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said Monday.

The SPP designated Zibo Municipal People's Procuratorate in Shandong Province to begin prosecution at Zibo Intermediate People's Court.

Prosecutors informed Qin of his litigation rights during the review and prosecution stage and questioned the defendant in addition to listening to his lawyer's opinions, said a statement from the SPP.

According to the indictment, Qin sought benefits and illegally accepted a huge amount of property from others by taking advantage of his posts. Endi
