Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his U.S. counterpart, John Kerry, called for further cooperation between Moscow and Washington to ensure a cease-fire in Syria on Sunday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
In a phone conversation, the two sides agreed to ramp up the campaign against terrorist groups in the war-torn country, and to take additional actions to prevent extremist militants from being bolstered by combatants and weapons abroad, the ministry said in an online statement. (Russia-US-Syria)

NEW DELHI -- The troops of India and Pakistan on Sunday violated the cease-fire agreement between them and targeted each other's positions on the Line of Control (LoC) dividing Kashmir, officials said.
The two sides resorted to heavy firing in the frontier Poonch district, about 185 km southwest of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir. (Kashmir-India-Pakistan)

RIYADH -- The Saudi Arab-led Arab coalition announced to observe cease-fire in Yemen starting from Sunday night, paving the way for negotiations scheduled for April 18 in Kuwait, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
This was in response to the Yemeni government's request for truce from 2100 GMT on Sunday to the end of Kuwait talks, according to a coalition statement. (Saudi Arab-Yemen-Ceasefire) Endi
