1st LD: Tremors felt in Pakistan, Afghanistan, India as earthquake hits Hindu Kush region

Strong tremors were felt in parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Indian capital around 16:00 p.m. local time as a strong quake hit the Hindu Kush region, said officials and witnesses.

Tremors were also felt in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, Indian-controlled Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh, said meteorological officials here.

People rushed outside from their homes and offices in New Delhi, witnesses said. Enditem
