Vietnamese cabinet members relieved from duties

Vietnamese parliament on Friday approved to relieve two Vietnamese deputy prime ministers as well as 18 ministers and heads of ministerial agencies from duties following the proposal of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Accordingly, at the ongoing 11th session of the 13th National Assembly in capital Hanoi, Vu Van Ninh was relieved from duty of Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam as he was not elected to enter the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPVCC) formed in late January.

Meanwhile, Hoang Trung Hai was relieved from duty of Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam as he was appointed to be Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

Among the ministers, Tran Dai Quang was relieved from duty of Minister of Public Security as he was elected to be the Vietnamese President.

Dinh La Thang was relieved from duty of Minister of Transport as he was appointed the post of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Among other relieved ministers and heads of ministerial agencies, 13 were not included in the 12th CPVCC.

On Friday afternoon, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc delivered a proposal to the National Assembly on nominations of new deputy prime ministers as well as ministers and heads of ministerial agencies. On Saturday, Vietnamese parliament will vote to approve the proposal.

Over the past few days, Vietnamese legislature has replaced top leaders of the country, including house speaker, president and prime minister at the ongoing 11th session of the 13th National Assembly of Vietnam in capital Hanoi. Enditem
