Singapore stocks close 0.08 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 2.34 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 2,813.59.

A total of 1.27 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 879.3 million Singapore dollars (651.2 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 202 to 182, while 531 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 10.33 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 2,811.25 on Wednesday. Endit
