Chen Run'er elected governor of Henan

Chen Run'er was elected governor of central China's Henan Province at a session of the provincial legislature on Thursday.

Chen, 59, is a native of Chaling of Hunan Province. He was deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Heilongjiang Provincial Committee before moving to Henan.

At the same meeting, Xie Fuzhan, secretary of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, was elected chairman of the standing committee of the 12th Henan Provincial People's Congress. Endi
