Czech nominates team for Fed Cup semifinal against Switzerland

Czech women's tennis team captain Petr Pala announced on Wednesday the players that will play a Fed Cup semifinal match against Switzerland in Luzern on April 16-17.

Karolina Pliskova, Barbora Strycova, Denisa Allertova and Lucie Hradecka are on the players' list.

The Czech team will play the semifinal with the absence of two-time Wimbledon winners Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova.

Pliskova, currently the world's number 18, has taken over the role of team leader from Kvitova.

The Czechs team won Fed Cup four times in the past five years. Endit
