Iceland's trade deficit increases in March

Iceland saw the deficit in its balance of trade in goods increase to 8.9 billion Icelandic krona (71.8 million U.S. dollars) in February from 1.7 billion Icelandic krona in February, Statistics Iceland said Wednesday.

Preliminary figures show the value of exported goods amounted to 44.5 billion krona, while the value of imported goods amounted to 53.4 billion krona in March.

Compared with February, the value of exported goods in March saw an increase of 2 billion krona, while the value of imported goods saw an increase of 9.1 billion krona. (1 U.S. dollar = 124 Icelandic krona) Endit
