Stuttgart' s Serey Die out for the rest of the season

Xinhua, April 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Serey Die will be sidelined for the rest of the season due to an adductor injury, the "Swabians" announced on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old defensive midfielder won' t return to the pitch for weeks after suffering a torn tendon in his adductors against Darmstadt (2-2) on Saturday. As a consequence he will miss the last six games of the current season.

"This is a very bitter news for us. Serey Die is one of our greatest fighters. After Kevin Grosskreutz' injury this is another blow that hurts us properly," Stuttgart' s sporting director Robin Dutt said.

Stuttgart occupy the 12th place of the Bundesliga standings. They encounter front-runners Bayern Munich at the 29th round on Saturday. Endit
