Indian stocks close higher on rate cut hopes

Indian stocks rallied in afternoon trade on Monday on hopes of rate cut by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in Tuesday's money policy review.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 25,399.65, 130.01 points or 0.51 percent up from previous close of 25,269.64, with a turnover of 344.12 crore rupees (about 51.9 million U.S. dollars). Endit
