Demonstrators set buses ablaze in Brazil over the weekend in protest of the death of a 4-year-old boy, who was killed by a stray bullet.
Rian Gabriel was shot in the chest on Easter Sunday while playing in the street near his grandparents' home in the Madureira neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.
Police said that Gabriel was caught in the crossfire of a firefight but the boy's mother blamed the police, saying there wasn't any gunfight.
Daily newspaper O Globo showed pictures of 12 buses and a bus stop, which were burned by the demonstrators late on Saturday.
It said that firefighters responded belatedly to the scene, allegedly due to safety concerns.
On March 28, protesters took to the streets in the poor neighborhood, interrupting transport and causing damages estimated at over 1 million reais (280,000 U.S. dollars). Endi
