Cuba beats China in World Series of Boxing

Cuba nailed an emphatic win over the Dragons of China in the World Series of Boxing on Friday.

Three of the five bouts ended prematurely by the superiority of the Caribbean boxers.

Armando Martinez, in the division of 60 kilograms, won by default in the second round against Wang Yong, while Yosbany Veitia and Emmanuel Reyes won by unanimous decision against Bo Fang and Zhang Yawei respectively.

Chinese boxer Bo Fang said the Cuban boxers showed they are one of the best teams in the world.

Cuba, the winner of Group A, will take on either the United States or Mexico in the quarter-finals. Endit
