Spanish stock market falls 1.38 pct

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.38 percent on Friday to close at 8,602.30 points, down from the 8,723.10 points of Thursday.

Share values were down 2.1 percent in the week as a whole. Spain's risk premium closed at 131 points on Friday, rising from the 122 points of Tuesday, when the index started trading after Easter holidays.

On Friday session, Telefonica shares led falls losing 3.87 percent, followed by OHL, Repsol, Banco Popular, Gas Natural, Banco Santander and Merlin that lost 3.30 percent, 3.03 percent, 2.62 percent, 2.36 percent, 2.04 percent and 2.01 percent respectively.

On the other hand, ArcelorMittal shares led rises climbing 4.50 percent, followed by Tecnicas Reunidas, Sacyr, Bankinter, Mediaset, ACS and Amadeus that rose 2.65 percent, 2.59 percent, 1.45 percent, 1.34 percent, 1.30 percent and 0.64 percent respectively. Endit
